Style & Temhnique

My work expresses strength and simplicity. Mainly working with different metals in order to get interesting effects. Generally, using semi precious stones as well as pearls, in order to enhance the beauty of the piece. The stones aim is to embellish or accentuate the shape, and be an organic part of the design. My work is inspired by sculptures and architectural structures. Beginning with rough sketches, showing several views of my art piece as a guide, I proceed with free flow of improvisation and creation. Using this free form technique often leads me to a dead end. In my attempts to recover from those dead ends I usually come up with creative and original solutions. This free-form design-approach allows the material and the tools, to “participate” in some of the decisions.
